under Edit Boards and Categories ... under a board, like Chit-Chat, is there an option for New Sub-Category?

hmmm... wait... that option would only be under a Root Category.

So if you create a Root Cat, you'll be able to create a Sub-Cat under it.

mmmm yes i know about that, it creates a sub board on its own. But can it create a sub board in example "Chit Chat"?

Maybe i thought about this way, and it cant do it like that. I want a conmplete sub forum within an excisting board like Chit Chat.

If i create a sub Category, i cant move excisting treads to the new category. Is there a way i can move lets say 3 boards with their messsages/posts to this new sub category?

I think the only way is to ftp in and change files. But is there an easier way? Does anyone know

thanx

Under General Boards, create a New Category called Chit-Chat (you'll need a different ID then the original).

Move the original Chit-Chat board under the category called Chit-Chat.... that will make it a subforum under Chit-Chat.

You can then create more New Board under the Chit-Chat category. You should be able to, at that point, move threads to whatever board you created under Chit-Chat

See the demo board here

Chit-Chat is a subforum under Chit-Chat. I moved the Chit-Chat through the Admin CP.

see below.

it's been a while since i played with 8.3... so i can't say for sure if "Move" is an option. but if it is I'd imagine it would be in the same place.
