To start off a new year, E-Blah 10.3.3 has been released.  This is a much larger release than the previous small releases have been and include several new features.

Better Security
Along with bug fixes comes better security and Administrator Access Lists.  Administrator Access Lists allows administrators to assign certain administrator options to member groups, like a low level Administrator.

Latest Forum Activity
The latest forum activity can now be shown on the board index.  This will greatly increase the search for new threads on your forum.

More Time Variables
The E time setting was added to the time settings, which will allow for a superscripted ordinal suffix.  Along with this, guest time settings is now based on the member time settings that has been in the Member Center for a few months.

Advanced Post Editor
A new, experimental feature has been added which provides a WYSIWYG post editor for your forum.  Through the use of TinyMCE your members will now be able to post messages using this new editor.  It is disabled by default, and when enabled your members have the option to turn the option off.

Aside from that, upgrade seems to have worked.  TinyMCE is a cool feature, but not sure if I'll be using it... having the html button makes me a bit uneasy.

I had the same problem on doing the upgrade.

Things were kind of wonky until I also rebuilt the boards, then everyone worked as expected.

One problem I've found: you can click "Toggle Advanced Editor" to make it go away, but any text that's entered in the old editor is lost when "Post" is clicked. You end up with a page that says "Message field was left blank".  Anyone else seeing this?

I'm about to reupload the package with the fix for the Setup issue.

I see it with both IE7 and Firefox 2.something.  It's also with two different forums, so I either made the same mistake on both, or there's a real problem somewhere.   I'll try to see if I can figure it out.

Two more observations: when I click "Post", I see the text disappear from the edit box as the page is being submitted....  And if I type some text in the advanced editor, then Toggle, the text is retained and submitted when I click "Post."  It's only when the text box is empty and I click "Toggle", then add text, that the text disappears.

I've still got a persistent user that I simply cannot delete.  I've tried EVERYTHING.  Manually editing the List2.txt, using the admin function, downloading the entire installation and doing a manual search and replace...

Still no luck.

If you have deleted them from List2.txt did you also delete the corresponding number from List.txt?

FCKeditor seems to be a lot smoother than TinyMCE when I tested them with Wordpress.

The main problem with that is they do not have a BBCode plugin.  If they do and I simply overlooked it, I can look into it.  I like TinyMCE, but it does have it's flaws.  

I did some minor adjustments to the Advanced editor that may make it work a lot better.  If you wish to use the editor, download the entire E-Blah package and do another upgrade.  Do not worry about running Setup.pl. Please remember, however, that there are still major bugs with this and it's still experimental.

Nice job with the new release. You never fail to please everyone Justin.
