Color me confused. It looks like i uploaded two mods (new registration fields mod, and the news flash mod) just fine because i can see them in the admin center>modification center. I did a test install and it all looked fine, so I installed them. Now what?

I am not seeing where to enable them?  

Yes, I feel stupid for asking. Can we blame it on a fried brain?

I have been sitting here debating on asking, but I have to. I am swallowing my pride. I have searched, and searched and I am not finding an answer.

Did you upload in ASCII?  If you didn't then they will show and appear to install when infact it does nothing. For Mods, you have to upload in ASCII and not Auto as most ftp programs are set to.

Once installed correctly, the News Flash will appear next to the scrolling news for editing and in Main preferences to turn it on. The Registration Fields mod will also appear in Main Preferences.

I did..However, here may be  the issue. I have a Mac and use Transmit. Transmit said that the mod had files it didn't recognize, but I told it to install anyway. Maybe that's the issue??

Oh, dear.... I think I am in trouble...I was going to have my forum partner upload the mods via her ftp and...well, I can't uninstall the mods I put there. It's says source code not found. Now what do I do??? Besides cry....

I'm still confused...Kelly and I are IMing eaqch other and we don't see anything new. I see the mods. One installed, the other doesn't look like it did..Am I doing something wrong??

OK, they installed OK for me. Go to your Admin Center and in the left column under Templates and Themes you will see the link to edit the News Flash.

Then in Main Preferences - Board Index - Show News Flash on Boards?

You will also see the extra registration fields as you scroll down.

Good day,
I keep getting the "code could not be found in source" when trying to install the ExtraRegistrationFields mod

I uploaded it via ascii mode, test installed and that's the result I get.

Is it because I'm using 10.3.6 and it was verified with 10.3.5?

Probably, The mods look for the exact block of code, So any changes to that code, even one character being changed would make the mod unable to find that code...

The mods will be tested and sorted for 10.3.6 before long...
