With the upgrade the smilies have obviously changed. A few members dislike them, and I find some quite confusing!
Is there any way I can add some smilies?

I am not as knowledgeable as the other people on here but this is how I did it.   ftp the smilies you want into your smilies folder within your main forum directory.  Make a note of their names including the extention which is usually .gif  -  then go into your admin section of the forum and on the left you should see 'extra smilie code.'  Click on that and type in the first box the code for the smilie, make sure it isn't something that will appear in normal language, something like  :cllc: and in the second box type in the full name of the image you noted down.  Click save and go to the next.

You can also add whole packs but I prefer to put in individual smiles that are topical with the site.
