Hi, Stephanie.

You don't necessarily have to use a flash player to upload your media, but I suppose if you really wanted to, you could. If you have and are willing to spend money, then you can buy a professional player. If you want to use a free script, I suggest you use http://clip-bucket.com/ or http://www.vidiscript.com because they come with their own flash players. Ask your webhost support team if they do free or paid script installations if you aren't sure you can install it yourself.

Installing media files is actually really easy once you get the hang of it. All you need to do is sign into your website control panel, go inside the public_html folder, and click upload file. Hit the browse button, select your media file, and press upload. It may take a while depending on how large your file is. If you want to upload more than one file, you'll need an ftp program. Here's a google search for you on free ftp clients:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=free+ftp+client&btnG=Search

I recommend you use core ftp. Here's the link:

Once you upload your media, link up to it. If you don't want your users to have to worry about which player to choose to play it or slow clip downloads, then install that Moyea flash player or one of the video scripts I mentioned. It's completely up to you how you want to upload, display and link up your media files.

Hope this information helps you, Stephanie. Let me know how everything goes with your website.
