setting a recurring event on "every year same weekday", such as the one set for Thanksgiving at my forum and this one, does not work properly.  thanksgiving should be the 27th this year, not the 20th but i see why the forum is doing this, it's calculating it for the 4th thursday in the month, even if that day does not exist, as you can see on my forum.. i have thanksgiving set for the 27th, recurring, but for 2009, 2010, etc. there is no day in that position on the calendar, so it simply displays nothing.

I remember for 10.3.5 Justin completely rewritten the calender.. Saying that even if most people don't use it, it did need the work for the people who do.. Maybe he just missed that..
