Hi all again.

Some weeks ago I upgraded to 10.1 and since then I've noticed that when I quick-edit a message Spanish characters (such as á, é, ñ...) are not properly shown, instead things like ¡@ %$ are displayed, so I think it might be a character codification problem.

P.D.: It doesn't happen when doing a full-edit.

It works fine here?  I'm guessing it works here because of this:

Code
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd">

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en">

I'm not sure though.

If that doesn't work (by editing your template), try this:

Edit common.js (in /blahdocs/), and search for: "encodeURIComponent". Replace it with: "encodeURI".  Then go to your forum and on the Message Display page do a CTRL+F5.  Then try to do a quick modify.  If it works, let me know.  Actually, try THIS method first because if it works, I want to include it in the next version.

Hmm, it works fine here though?  Do you have another language set in your browser?

Quoted from Justin

Not really, I'm using the same browser all the time (Konqueror 3.5.5). However, my webserver is using the ISO-8859-15 character encoding, so the problem might be there.

P.D.: Test: á é í ó ú ñ
