Recently IE users are experiencing IE freeze up when clicking on a link in the forum where the url ends in:

/s-new/#numXX

Anyone else have this problem, or know how to fix it?

Not seen it before so can't advise apart from getting them to clear their cache

It is likely due to all the advertisements you have on your forum. Especially the infolinks ones. Google ads are fine and the ad code is highly optmised but infolinks isn't very good and as it has to scan every word in the page to attach ads to them, it's very script heavy. IE doesn't process scripts very well http://www.codemeit.com/reviews/chrome-vs-ie-javascript-engine-performance-comparison.html

That'd explain IE freezing on you. But as to why it's only on pages with an id in the URL like #123 i don't know. Maybe the browser locks up as it's trying to go to that ID while running all the scripts...
I'd suggest removing the infolinks ads for an hour or so, see if it clears up.
